The couple’s long-awaited honeymoon to Norway was postponed multiple times due to the pandemic and unexpected events. Their itinerary included exploring Lillehammer, experiencing the Norway in a Nutshell adventure, and visiting Oslo’s attractions. Despite a hectic month, they finally embarked on their journey, making the most of their time in Norway.
A Honeymoon Abroad: Norway Day 1
Samie and Luke’s honeymoon travel continued with an early morning journey from Reykjavik to Oslo. Their airport and flight experiences at Keflavik Airport were unconventional to say the least. In Oslo, they faced challenges navigating public transportation and finding their Airbnb. Despite the chaos, they found solace in exploring downtown Oslo and sampling local cuisine, feeling the excitement of being in Norway.
A Honeymoon Abroad: Norway Day 2
On the second day of their honeymoon in Norway, the couple took a 2-hour train ride to Lillehammer. They visited the Lillehammer Art Museum and the Maihaugen open-air museum, enjoying the historic exhibits and traditional Norwegian architecture. After exploring the town center, they returned to Oslo and ended the day with a meal from Digg Pizza.
A Honeymoon Abroad: Norway Day 3
On the third day of our Norway honeymoon, we embarked on the popular “Norway in a Nutshell” tour. Taking the scenic Bergen Railway and arriving in Bergen, we explored the historic Bryggen area, did some souvenir shopping, and enjoyed local cuisine. Despite some slight hiccups, it was a wonderful and fulfilling day.
A Honeymoon Abroad: Norway Day 4
The fourth day of Samie and Luke’s honeymoon in Norway began with a picturesque morning in Bergen. The couple embarked on the ‘Norway in a Nutshell’ tour, including a scenic train ride and fjord cruise with breathtaking views. They explored Flåm before boarding the historic Flåm Railway, experiencing slight delays, but ultimately finding the Norway in a Nutshell tour to be a highly rewarding experience.
A Honeymoon Abroad: Norway Day 5
On the 5th day of their honeymoon in Oslo, Samie and Luke enjoyed a relaxed day, visiting the iconic Oslo Opera House and the MUNCH Art Museum. They explored the museum, took in local sights, savored pastries and different cuisine from several stalls at Oslo Street Food, and ended the day with wings and milkshakes.
A Honeymoon Abroad: Norway Day 6 & Iceland Day 4
Samie and Luke spend their final day in Oslo with a relaxing morning at the train station, making use of luggage storage, exploring the city and indulging in a leisurely meal at Peppe’s Pizza before returning to the airport for their flight back to Reykjavik. It concludes with a delightful supper in Reykjavik and spending time with their Airbnb host’s cat, Mia.
