One last leg of our journey. Samie and I start day 10 to a beautiful morning in Denver. We headed to the Red Rocks Amphitheater first thing.

It is a legendary venue for live entertainment that I’m sure you’ve heard and seen pictures of. What you might not know, if you’ve never been is that you have to climb a mountain to actually see it. Yes, there is a parking lot close by, but the elevation change between where you park and when you finally see the stage is substantial. And then you’re only half way there if you want to get to the top of the seating are.

With all that being said, the view is worth the wobbly legs. ( and yes, some crazy people chose these steps as a gym. more power to them.)

After descending the red rock summit we made our way to a mall that was on our way out of town. We should have just hit the road but our trip was coming to an end too quickly. We grabbed coffees and window shopped before heading home.
At the begining of the teip it seemed like the longest thing we would ever do and at the end it wasn’t nearly long enough.

How in the world did it go so fast? The roads seemed to blend together after a couple of states. Between the highway haze there are very clear memories that I doubt I will ever forget.
The following are places I think are worth going out of your way to see.
