A Road Trip to Glacier and Banff (part 3)

August 2018

Mom, Dad, Annie and I started heading West away from our charming little A-frame cabin. The drive into Glacier National Park form the East is totally different from the West. We are taking the day to drive to our AirBnb in British Columbia. As we exit the park we see all sorts of adventure businesses. There were; rock walls, rope courses, zip lines, and helicopter rides to name a few.

Very soon into the drive we had to cross into Canada. I don’t remember there being any trouble at the border. The biggest difference when driving in Canada is using KPH instead of MPH. Once you get used to looking at those numbers on the speedometer the drive isn’t bad at all.

We stopped for lunch somewhere in the middle of our drive. I don’t remember the food, but I do remember Annie and I ordering red beer and they hadn’t heard of that before and ended up with beers and tomato juice on the side. Still verhy tasty.

We managed to find our AirBnb and after a short talk with the owner we settled in. This was set on the edge of the owners property. It was a pre-fabricated house that was very nice. The owner had also left a hand made loaf of bread with home mad boysenberry jam. It was delicious.

We walked around the property a bit and took in the beautiful Canadian landscape around us. After that we went to the nearest town to get some snacks and drinks. We settled in for the night to get ready to see Lake Louise the following day.
