Fantastic Views and Where to Find Them

By: Luke

Sam and I have had the pleasure to witness some of natures most stunning landscapes. The crazy thing is that most of them are mere feet away from a road or parking lot. It feels like you should have to put some real effort in getting to take in mother nature’s best. In some cases that is very true. If you want any mountain summit views you will have to put in time on a stair master. Here are some of the places I think of when I need a ” happy place”

Crater Lake in Oregon is certainly one of the most unique we have seen. It is the deepest lake in the United States. You come up the side of a volcano to look inside and instead of lava, there is water! We spent a lot of time just staring across the big bowl.

The Grand Canyon is a stranger to no one. What sets this apart for me is how it just didn’t feel real. My brain just couldn’t handle everything it was trying to take in.

These are two images from Glacier National Park on the drive up to Logan’s Pass. The drive on Going to the Sun Road is my absolute #1. Take as many opportunities to pull over and sight-see as you can.

This view is courtesy of our latest trip to California. This is in Yuka Valley at our airbnb. We fell in love with the dessert landscape.

Warning: You will most definitely will get wet trying to get here. But yes, it is completely worth it. This is the Seljalandsfoss waterfall in Iceland.

View from the Stalheim Hotel in Norway. This was somewhere between Voss and Gudvangen on our “Norway in a Nutshell” tour.

Our own back yard! I have always liked sunrises more than sunsets, new day and all that jazz. It also seems like you have to work for them a little more than a sunset. It is difficult to do sometimes, but it’s nice to look at something you see everyday like it’s your first time. The corn fields aren’t too bad.
